Why do we do this work? Well, to us, it would be too easy to simply "sell wood". We strive to build social, natural, and economic capital in our business. Put another way, we try to 1) create a better environment, 2) improve one's own community through creation of jobs and better lives for people around us, and 3) engage in growing the traditional economy. Sometimes this concept is called a "three legged stool" where any one leg needs to stand a strong as the other two in order to be successful. Windfall strives to keep these three principles in balance as we grow and make choices without pulling out any one of the three legs.
